Comparative Study of Histogram Shifting Algorithms for Digital Watermarking

چکیده
Data hiding is a method of hiding or embedding secret data, called message, into a digital media, called cover; in such a way that message is unnoticeable to human eye. An algorithm that can retrieve the message from the cover without any loss to original image is called reversible. Histogram shifting has proven its importance in the field of digital watermarking after the work of Ni et al. In this paper, we will discuss about some variation of algorithms based on histogram shifting. We will further discuss about basis of our work. A multiple zero-peak points can be used for hiding the data in an efficient manner with histogram technique. Furthermore, hash will be created by using MD5 or SHA1.

Watermark Embedding and Extraction using Histogram Shifting and Butterworth Filtering
In the digital image watermarking community, developing a robust watermarking method has withdrawn attention in recent years. In this paper, robust image watermark algorithm is proposed which is based on histogram shape and Butterworth filtering that resist against geometric attack and signal processing attack by using invariance property of histogram to scaling and without exploiting robust fe...
متن کاملRobust Reversible Watermarking For Geometric Attack by Proposed Pixel Replacement Method
Volume 2, Issue 1 January February 2013 Page 186 Abstract: Reversible watermarking is broadly used in military and medical applications. In this paper we are presenting a novel pixel replacement method, whose watermark is robust to geometric attack as well as it has maximum embedding capacity than all histogram shifting methods. This idea is generated from histogram shifting method, a well know...
متن کاملReversible Watermarking Technique using Histogram Shifting Modulations
This paper proposes creating new reversible marking technique. This originally based on indentifying parts of the image which are watermarked using two different Histogram Shifting (HS) modulations. One is Pixel Histogram shifting and other is Dynamic Prediction Error Histogram Shifting (DPEHS). This technique offers a very good compromise in terms of capacity and image quality preservation for...
متن کاملHigh Capacity Reversible Watermarking through Interpolated Error Shifting
Reversible watermarking that not only protects the copyright but also preserve the original quality of the digital content have been intensively studied. In particular, the demand for reversible watermarking has increased. In this paper, we propose a reversible watermarking scheme based on interpolation-error shifting and error pre-compensation. The intensity of a pixel is interpolated from the...
متن کاملA New Reversible Watermarking Method Based on Histogram Shifting
This paper proposes a new histogram shifting-based reversible watermarking method. In contrast to other almost methods that need to use simultaneously the watermarked image and some image-dependent side information to restore the watermark and the original image, our method can do above restorations without any auxiliary information. Such methods are called free from side information. Our solut...
